THE Gold Coast Blaze basketball team has launched their 2009-2010 membership packages.
And in a marketing ‘first’, team bosses announced today that all early bird Gold Coast Blaze season ticket buyers will be in the running to win an extravagant, all-inclusive five-day whale watching cruise aboard the luxurious 38 metre explorer RV Flamingo Bay.
In what’s described as ‘a spectacular trip on an extraordinary ship’ one lucky Blaze supporter and seven friends will set sail on the trip of a lifetime, valued at $30,000.
“We put enormous energy over the summer into developing some very exciting sponsor and membership packages and we’re just days away from getting them into the marketplace,” Blaze CEO Dave Claxton said.
“The RV Flamingo Bay cruise is an absolute beauty and an indicator to some of the marketing innovation that our sponsors, members and fans can expect this year,” he said.
Blaze season memberships are available from today (Friday 12th June) and every season member who signs up by Friday 10th July, 2009 will go into the draw – one ticket for every seat purchased.
“In the corporate box scenario, that’s one ticket for every seat in the box,” Mr Claxton said.
Leaving from Southport on a Monday morning, the cruise will wind its way north through whale-rich Queensland coastal waters bound for Hervey Bay and Fraser Island where the Blaze VIP guests will observe abundant marine life such as dolphins, dugongs, turtles.
It will arrive in Hervey Bay the following evening before heading on to Fraser Island and Platypus Bay.
Owned and skippered by Captain David Tomlinson (the brother of Blaze co-owner Owen Tomlinson), the RV Flamingo Bay arrives back at Southport on the Friday.
